Say your prayers gentlemen, that Mike Pence or Ted Cruz seizes on all of these new homeschool children as a way to introduce a tax break for home schooling and by virtue defund a bunch of the federal education system.

Its a battle they have been trying to have for a long time.

Probably good to have the second car either way so mom can take the kids places during the day (not right now obviously) and as a backup so dad can get to work if his car is in the shop, but right on otherwise. And of course while it is good for a stay at home mom to have her own wheels she can stick with the 10-year-old Subaru Outback, she doesn't need a new BMW every other year to present the right image to her coworkers as she climbs the corporate ladder.

I'll have to repeat how endlessly thankful I am for not having to hear about whiteness or racism or climate change or trans-kids or consent laws or any of the other myriad of extremely mentally oppressing things that the radical left has fed us for years. I can't stand that shit anymore.

I'll be willing to live under damn near any kind of authoritarian regime, even a socialist one, if only I could escape this soul destroying assault by the radical left.

I don't think I've felt this mentally relaxed in 10 years, seriously.

Not sure what to make of it yet. I think there's a lesson there somewhere. Maybe it's time to accept a less than ideal structure for society, with less than ideal leaders, as long as it squashes the radical left.

I can see how Orban, Erdogan, Putin could win. You could get me on board probably.

I just want peace.

The freezer has plenty of steak, chicken, salmon, spinach and broccoli. Fridge has bell peppers, mushrooms, cantaloupe and Greek yogurt. Bananas, oatmeal, almonds and cashews as well.

I was already starting to eat healthier, but long-term I will try and continue this. Good, healthy food is so important, especially for the immune system.

It's been the opposite for me, as a large percentage of my purchases were marked down goods. Now, nothing stays in the chillers in the shops long enough to go out of date.

I've spent a ton on groceries the last few weeks although most of that was just loading up the freezer.

RE: Long-term benefits of the Coronavirus Pandemic
Here are some short term benefits that might not fall into the long term benefits quite yet, but have potential.

- Some of my wife's single friends have done a 180 on relationships. None of them talk about random guys anymore, instead almost all of them are hoping to meet a man who can work with his hands, lead a family, and can sense danger.

- Parents who, just months ago, would have walked on glass for their kids school choice are now seeing their kids grow under their tutelage. Kids under a certain age can learn more from a good parent in less than half the time than under a doped up union teacher.

- Social media is literally making people sick right now. You can probably smell the cortisol leak out of many of these stressed out men.

- Lock people inside and tell them to watch as much garbage as they can tolerate, eat junk and collect UBI and watch them do anything in their power to get out into nature.

- The government is mostly useless, and seems its only job right now is collecting and distributing money. With a side gig of enforcing laws, but even that was deemed too hard so they just told everyone to stay indoors. No one is questioning why; We all know its because the west is full of people who want to see it destroyed.

- Lots of jobs are just welfare.

- Family health and happiness above all else.

This is actually another long term benefit of the CV. Libertarians can finally nut up or shut up once those freedoms have been taken away instead of kicking the can down the road.

The only thing less tolerable than living under 100% tyranny is living under 90% tyranny while listening to people incessantly carp and whine about how the last 10% is going to be taken away from them any second now.

God demands of Man responsibility. God demands of Woman vulnerability. These are their curse and blessing alike. Libertianism is to Man as Feminism is to Woman.

Probably been mentioned but, celeb worship is going to take a major hit. In times of crisis the most they have to offer is singing John Lennon songs from their mansions, attetion-whoring skype call videos between their celebrity butt buddies and asking people who may have been laid off to donate.

Without handlers and makeup and editors celebrities are just lousy youtubers. Youtubers will continue their ascent, then, and become the new "real" celebrities.

Not nearly as intolerable and insufferable as listening to fence sitters egging both sides on to "hurry up and get it over with". Intellectuals, so far removed from society but continually wishing "both sides" would crumble it. Damn. Not even I'm that far removed from society or my humanity to say such things.

Incessantly carp & whining is what communists say to people who still have 2 balls between their legs willing to fight for our god given rights. But what do I know.

Good point. The comments in that post were all the same -- dude, why don't you give your money?

Once you realize that celebrities have an unappealing personality type-- insecure, narcissistic, emotional, etc.-- the allure really wears off. You wonder why anyone follows them at all.

One thing I'm using this for is to try to more fully break the sportsball habit (go from 90% to 98%). I don't miss it at all.

I used to think there was something a little wrong or stunted with people who didn't care for watching sports at all.

I want to see one of these celebrities charter a Citation X, load it with N95 masks, and fly it to NYC.

I want them to disembark, have members of their entourage load up waiting UHaul Transit vans with their supplies, gown up, mask up, and drive to a hospital in of these hot spots.

I want to see them personally walk in, ask for whoever is in charge of receiving, and let them know they have a donation to make.

And I want to find out about it that evening or the next day when a rabid fan recognizes them and posts a video of it on Instagram because that celebrity did this without fanfare or a pre-planned press release.

That is when one of them will make a fucking difference.

I quit watching sportsball a few years ago. I would know just enough for small talk with other guys, mostly learned from other conversation or trends on twitter.

I lived and died by sportsball when I was a kid. Knew all the stats, all the odds, all the players, most every big play, on and on. As I got older it wasn't as big of a deal but I still followed teams and story lines.

But as things disintegrated in the USA, I lost interest and found interest in other things. Now it just seems silly to me. Watching other grown men live and die by the actions of an athlete on a court/field. That athlete doesn't even care as much as the man cheering him on. The athlete still gets paid millions and lives far away from the serious problems we face day to day. The athlete wouldn't want to talk to the man if he see him out in public. And if that athlete blew his knee out and never made it, the man wouldn't want to talk to the has been if he saw him in public.

Anyway, the more you ween yourself off of it, the less interesting it is. Eventually it just seems silly that you ever watched or cared.

This is maybe the biggest benefit of this virus. The millions of men who are without sportsball and rediscovering what is really important in life and getting cut off cold turkey. Sure most will go back, but not all, and it is a step in the right direction.

I wish you the best in dropping the sportsball temptation and hope you find something else that is more beneficial to fill your free time.

RE: Long-term benefits of the Coronavirus Pandemic
This pandemic, while orchestrated, is letting the world know what's really important. Everything nonessential like these glorified puppets known as celebrities has been shut down.

Women actually have to raise their children and cook food for the family now, the horror Laugh. They no longer can just hand their kids to the public school indoctrination camp and count that as raising their children. This strong and independent women nonsense has been thrown out the window real quick. That's only reserve in a time of peace.

Men have to figure how to bring money in for the family. That still stays the same. If you're in a field that has been shutdown, time to regroup and come up with a plan. You can't lie on your back and have someone else solve your problems. Get up and figure out how to make some money.

Trans surgeries has been postponed indefinitely thanks to the current pandemic.

More people will realize that they should know how to grow a garden/cook simple meals instead of relying on fast foods/Wal-Mart.

The older I got, the more weird I found it to have grown men cheering on and wearing jerseys of men years (or decade(s)) younger than them (often teenagers!)

Cosigned.

What I found even weirder was the men that let their women wear a player's jersey. It always struck me as something like was in the upper echelon of ultimate cucking.

I felt like that well before I watched Semi Pro (no nudity in this clip, but audio is NSFW):

I can't stand that shit anymore.

I'll be willing to live under damn near any kind of authoritarian regime, even a socialist one, if only I could escape this soul destroying assault by the radical left.

I don't think I've felt this mentally relaxed in 10 years, seriously.

Not sure what to make of it yet. I think there's a lesson there somewhere. Maybe it's time to accept a less than ideal structure for society, with less than ideal leaders, as long as it squashes the radical left.

I can see how Orban, Erdogan, Putin could win. You could get me on board probably.

I just want peace.

You will never find true peace of mind in this world for we are here to fight constantly against evil forces inside and outside of us :

Philippians 3:20-21
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

1 John 5:19
We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

Don't be defeated and don't give up :

John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

RE: Long-term benefits of the Coronavirus Pandemic
I feel I have already moved on.

The only part of me that misses my downtown condo is the part of me that still craves 'comfort'. But comfort is relative anyways, and now I see it as mostly just easiness. Life on the farm is colder, harder and dirtier. But also happier.

I have my family at work with me. I can work with my son. Him and I do a walk around to lock up an hour after sun set each night, and its impressive how important he takes the task. Locking gates and securing doors, checking windows. We talk. He asks questions. He listens.

After a couple hours of work in the morning I have coffee with my family. This morning they wanted me to read some of Johns teachings in the bible. Yesterday I read some Norse mythology and some Jocko Willink.

There are moments where I can feel my ancestors memories. The starvation, the war, the fear - yet the love, family, community is also there. Before, when I would get very angry I wanted to take a scalp. I laughed it off as a joke. But now, I am seeing the that this has always been; That in order for me to be here, right now, my grandfather's grandfather did take scalps. And he did it for the same reasons that any father would - either through the smallpox or the covid - and that is to protect his family.

I wonder how many are feeling like this. That going back to the old ways is going to be harder with each passing day.
