RE: Keeping busy, entertained, productive during the coronavirus epidemic
Some things I have been doing:

1. Reading this forum solely for news on Coronavirus and other current events. I stopped my subscription and reading of the Washington Post during this affair due to their impending "everybody is going to die, and it's ALL Trumps fault" narrative, and offering no real good news (such as new trials of drugs that are currently on the market now) or solutions. I find them the worst of the lot, worse than even CNN. I only subscribed to them because I loved their sports coverage and regional coverage.

2. Getting back into reading the Bible daily. I currently have a 365 day Bible reading plan app on my phone that I have been following, and was doing good up until late February. I have recently started back up again and have already felt at ease doing so. Faith definitely makes a big different during hard times.

3. Learning Spanish and French. Have been using italki.com and Skyping with my teachers. I have been doing it for Spanish since last year but I have my first French session tonight. I'm intermediate right now in Spanish (can do an hour session without using English) but will need a lot of English to get through my French session. I only know a few phrases and have zero concept of past and future tense in the language. I have also been watching Telemundo shows to improve my Spanish, because I have been trying to avoid the local news during the Coronavirus crisis and I am not interested in watching video game simulations of live sports on the sports channels ever since the NHL and NBA have been shut down.

4. Running outside and doing yoga. Went to my local Planet Fitness to run on the treadmill, but all of our gyms are closed down so I have been running outdoors ever since. I have been doing Diamond Dallas Page yoga DVDs since January and am starting to see some pretty good results. My knee pain is pretty much gone (losing weight has helped with that as well) and my legs have been getting a lot stronger. I also need to get back to doing keto and lose another ten pounds this month. Was doing good until I went to a local Jamaican joint and slipped up badly and have been eating carbs ever since. But I still do intermittent fasting to offset any weight gains. I haven't eaten outside my window since January, and I have even had cheat weeks where I didn't gain any weight because of it.

5. Have also been calling family more. Blessed to be closer to home to them during this time after living outside of Maryland for 5 1/2 years.

Been working on my knots... its quick, easy, you can watch a movie and learn these knots and have developed a new skill that you'll never know when it's going to pay off.
Highly recommended

Ok, how about entertainment? How about free movies with the theme of viral epidemics!

Too much? Well, these two dozen pics rely too much on zombies for my tastes (World War Z excepted).

So, maybe you don’t wanna overdose on them!

My one regret is that it lacks Michael Crichton’s The Andromeda Strain, his first techno-thriller and first effort directing a film. A classic!

I’ve started volunteering taking food to the elderly and impoverished . Work is not as busy as normal and I figured might as well help out

My daily routine these days are somewhat the same.

Wake up.
Eat breakfast.
Surf the internet, message boards, WhatsApp, Facebook, whatever.
Photoread a couple of coding books
Read leisurely
Practice my Mandarin
Watch a movie (Mostly Tarantino, Scorcese, Nolan or Fincher. Sometimes Kubrick)
Workout.

I do pushups, pull ups, dips, weighted squats bicep curls (I use worn out automobile shock absorbers as makeshift dumbbells).
