I'm not in the states and amazon says out of stock. Can't find any other suppliers. I'll keep looking.

Well what do you know. A few hours ago it said it was out of stock but now it's available. Even though it says 10 days delivery to where I am. It's sold in 2.2lb bags and I don't know how much I need. I'm going to look at Simeon's posts now, but how much do you recommend I get?

Thanks bro, appreciate the link. But it seems they only ship to US.

Simeon bought 6 pounds. That math makes sense I think if you want to err on the side of caution. 100-200g per day for the first 2-3 days and then gradually reduce the dosage.

Is vitamin c powder the same as l-ascorbic acid powder. Sorry if this was discussed before but I want to get this right away.

I bought 6lbs extra despite severe doubts with this thing. It seems that people started to purchase it en masse likely researching what might be effective against the coronavirus and the only thing coming up are some studies and results by the Chinese and South Koreans. I think that they added another normal drug to the list of effective treatments, but you can bet that your side-effects and efficacity will not be the same on it.

I mentioned it a few times, but if human products are out, then check out veterinary supply stores. They sell this in gallons to animal farms. It's effective and the same form.

Started having runny nose and slight fever on Wednesday. Thought it was nothing, then watched the Mayor of Miami (who just tested positive) say he had the same symptoms. Gonna start on Vit C. Already taking Zinc.

I think South Florida, especially Miami where I live, is going to be a hot spot. Lots of multi-gen households, lots of tourists, and lots of people who will ignore quarantine and party anyway.

I'm college aged, and most friends I know are still going out, partying, getting food, etc. They're not taking this seriously whatsoever.

RE: "I Have Coronavirus/Cold/Flu Symptoms" thread
I was sick February 14. I thought I was catching the flu. Started with a sore throat, stuffy head, body aches, fatigue. Felt like my lymph nodes were swollen. Also had a light cough and runny nose.
Went to one of those 24 hour Urgent Care. It was 9pm and I didn't want to go to the hospital just to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours.
On my drive there my symptoms changed. I felt nausea and cold sweats. Still had the stuffy head and body aches.
The Doctor thought it might be bronchitis. He examined me and said I have no fever, phlegm in the lungs, or congestion. I vomited a few times when I was there, so he gave me medicine for nausea and stomach cramps. It lasted about 2 days. Have no idea what I managed to catch.

RE: "I Have Coronavirus/Cold/Flu Symptoms" thread
Day 7 post exposure, very slight symptoms persist after a day or two last week of zero symptoms. Very mild headache and an occasional what I'd call an intermittent 'pinch' in one of my lungs. No cough, no fever, no shortness of breath. These symptoms are all staying flat to a slight decrease. They definitely are not getting worse.

I did have an episode where I thought I was going to die yesterday though, I got really dizzy a few times and had to lie down. My wife brought me some food and asked what I'd been doing before I got dizzy. It turns out I slammed a bunch of supplements and forgot to eat lunch. After some food I was back to normal.

for the chest 'pinch' I tried putting a hot pack on my chest in the evening and it was a big help. It eliminated the pinch entirely.

I ate a rotten egg about 6 weeks ago and had flu-like symptoms for 12 hours straight, then suddenly a marked 90% improvement. Some food poisonings are similar to flus. I did not vomit, but couldn't eat for days properly and was weak for over a week. The quantity of one rotten egg isn't much, but it's interesting that this can copy cold-like symptoms. Friends who are MDs say that they use drugs in studies that copy flu-symptoms. They just inject you with a compound and you feel like having a flu for 5 days - fever, shivering, aches etc.

RE: "I Have Coronavirus/Cold/Flu Symptoms" thread
I've had a very slight chest tightness for 2-3 days with very, very slight fatigue. My throat isn't sore but it's almost slightly scratchy to the point where you can't even notice it. It is not getting worst at this point. No fever, no cough, heart rate is normal(been monitoring for months). I ordered a SpO2 meter to get more readings in case.

No idea if it's COVID19 but the reports that some are asymptomatic carriers has me worried about spreading this on the chance that it is.

RE: "I Have Coronavirus/Cold/Flu Symptoms" thread
Day 11. Slight runny nose and mild throat irritation, occasional cough that I didn't have before and, now and then, coughing up some clear phlegm.

The first two could be the Vitamin C clearing the head congestion. The cough could be reflux issue from the megadosing. The clear phlegm could be me taking a chest expectorant last night, so I'm not going to worry.

However, I feel... odd. Very sudden bout of fatigue again, after a few days of improvement in strength, and I seem to have to put a little more conscious effort into typing, like my hands don't want to cooperate with the nerve signals. My instinct is to just stay off the internet today and doze or lightly-read a book.

Day 12 is predictable hospitalisation, if it's going to escalate into dangerous territory. My worry is the pain inflammation in my pecs, ab and diaphragm muscles that I was noting back on Day 7 that I chalked up to compensatory breathing use, due to sepsis being a common factor in hospitalisation cases.

If I don't log in by Day 14, you have a clear indication of what to expect from a 48-year-old man with an underlying immune condition. His will be done. Hey, if you'd told me in my early 20's I'd make it to 48, I wouldn't have believed you, so I'm happy enough.

Day 20, you'll post here that all your symptoms are gone, and that you feel better than ever.

I'm Day 12. Mostly healed, but still very weak. I cleaned my house today and was done for the day.

Wouldn't be surprised if you had a "mild" form. Glad to hear you've turned it around.

RE: "I Have Coronavirus/Cold/Flu Symptoms" thread
Thanks for your concerns. I'm more just dispassionately observing what is happening so the report is rational, rather than hysterical.

Yeah, I feel cruddy, but so far, it's no worse than a moderate flu - when comparing this to sicknesses I've had: chicken pox, or whooping cough (four times in one year), or legionella, or pneumonia. This shouldn't be too hard for most of the population to deal with, though, obviously, I'm very emotionally-resilient.

I'm ignoring the more hysterical reports I read, and not worrying about Wuhan survivors with permanent lung damage - that's not unusual for survivors of ARDS even pre-the existence of Coronavirus, or from causes like lung collapse, or smoke inhalation. I don't believe people who a) aren't hospitalized, and b) never go into ARDS are showing damaged lungs.

Keep calm. Stress lowers your immune system.

So:

Rest.
Vitamin C / Paracetamol.
Keep warm / Humidify your air.
Keep up fluids.

If you're good at cooking in bulk, like I am, it might be worth freezing a batch of meals ahead of time, that you can reheat quickly in a saucepan, should your be looking after yourself. I got by on a lamb and vegetable stew I made for the first six days, with a noticeable reduction in appetite. Or I might suggest purchasing a meal replacement powder like the highest grade of Sustagen, used for caring the elderly, that I once survived on as my only source of food after a botched throat operation for about 10 weeks, before the issue was fixed with a second surgery. All that requires is adding a scoop full to some milk or water, and stirring. I bought three tins back in early February in case anyone I knew was too sick for solid food.

Doc just called. I tested negative for flu (I have flu-like symptoms). They will do corona test early this week. Will keep you posted. My regimen right now:

Green tea + tumeric powder
Vic C
Zinc
Florida sunlight on my balcony while shirtless (still feels good even while I'm sick)
