Why do you use steroids?
In high school I was a first-string athlete, a guy who some said, had it all. You could say my life was going good. But deep down, insecurity plagued me. Weight gain from bad eating habits finally caught up with me, as I prepared to enter college.

My parents saw that I unhappy. For one about the weight game, second, because mood swings that were caused by diet. I was an angry person, going downhill. Fast.

And then I discovered steroids.

Muscle grew. I gained weight in the right spots. Workouts were almost like they were being done by a new person, a new me. Bigger, harder, faster. Juicer.

My parents noticed the gains, but they assumed I had rounded a corner. So did friends. I just chalked it up to hard work, religious diet, and exercise.

It's hard to go back to the old me, so i don't think I will.

Sometimes in the gym I give other guys that knowing glance. It is a brotherhood of sorts, but one that I keep secret, and so do they.

I think you should try steroids and then report back with your steroid story.

RE: Why do you use steroids?
High doses of steroids are likely to lead to health problems.

TRT level doses *may* increase heart/stroke risk but are still something that can be argued for. (ie quality of life vs length)

Doses above TRT on the other hand cause significant heart problems as well as brain problems (structural changes leading to memory, thinking, and emotional impairments).

I strongly recommend you reconsider your steroid use above TRT levels (around 100 mg testosterone per week).

There is a lot of new research coming out showing the negative effects of high dose steroids.

Why do you use steroids?

I used steroids since I was already on self prescribed TRT. My testosterone was so low that I had to inject myself. Since I have no insurance for this, I had to go underground. So I began with testosterone propionate, then I tried testosterone enanthate which I settled as my base eventually for years. Along the way, I added masteron and trenbolone out of curiosity. I was aiming for that fitness model look. The good thing that came out of this was that's how I got my current gf. My fitness model body look attracted her. Most hot young women are crazy about that V shape feature that a man has. They won't say it out loud but it is clear from their actions.

Chad's gone. Must of been one of those errant accusations in his frat-house, or something of that nature.

I am thinking about using them because I have only 490ng/L test at the age of 19. Don't want to waste my time having a insufficient hormone profile. We live only once and we have the access to all the important information and the treatment out there. I wouldn't mix up all those steroid Derivats but I want to have a good hormone profile. Maybe test in the range of 1000-1500ng/L and low estrogen.

"Anabolic steroid abuse: what shall it profit a man to gain muscle and suffer the loss of his brain?"

Thanks for the interesting reads. It seems like most side effects are avoided with TRT at regular physiological levels, and avoiding supra-physiological levels. Some musings below:

I got a chuckle out of the first link when it mentioned this:
Quote:Hedonic effects: There’s a pleasure experience that is associated with taking steroids. It’s not the same as getting high as with drugs or alcohol, but there is a reinforcing quality of some type. Some steroid users describe this as feeling self-confident or invincible. Scientists are convinced of this phenomenon because male hamsters in laboratory studies will self-inject steroids to the point of death if they are given the opportunity.

The last link refers to a bodybuilder with motor seizures...
Quote:drug history revealed the consistent use of cycles of anabolic androgenic steroids (AAS) for the preceding 2 years. The cycles involved parenteral testosterone enanthate 500 mg combined with nandrolone decanoate 400 mg weekly for 3 months.

Based on a chart in https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4266340/ , 500mg of test enanthate alone leads to a median of ~70 nmol/L four days after injection, which corresponds to roughly 2,000 ng/dL - twice the upper limit of a standard lab range.

While these articles are valid representations of the risks, these are also from absurd doses. Steroid (ab)use and TRT are unfairly muddled in the public perception. TRT, on the other hand, is a much safer, and saner approach.

RE: Why do you use steroids?
I'm coming off my first cycle: Dianabol (10mg of tabs/wk), test cypionate (500mg/wk), equip (400/wk) Nolva (few pills weekly), Proviron (25mg/ day). 16 weeks in total.

For PCT using HCG, 500iu 2x a week.

One obvious downside is gyno. Next cycle, I will alter the protocol to avoid it. And yes, your testicles will shrink. Acne is also unavoidable.

The gains are too much to ignore, i packed on 30 pounds in 4 months.

RE: Why do you use steroids?
Dude that's pretty ridiculous for a first cycle.

You don't use hcg post cycle. You do it the last few weeks that you're still injecting test.

worth considering looking inward into why you need to be THAT jacked

Don't get me wrong, I use test and I used to use heavier compounds like Tren, but I regret using everything but test. Even just cruising on 150mg of test along with HCG to preserve fertility I'm plenty big. I don't even use weights, I use resistance bands (convenient while traveling) and I couldn't pass as someone natural. It's an addictive feeling to be giant, but it's because of some underlying insecurities. Being cut with some solid muscle is a much better look than a bloated gorilla

Edit

https://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-74693...pid2058244

When I first got on juice I had the same sort of expectation that it would get me women. It's pretty clear you have the same expectation.

If you ask a woman what type of body she's most attracted to she would say a skinny but cut swimmers body. If you ask a bodybuilder what body women like they would say something like Jay Cutler. The reality is that it's somewhere in the middle. If you are giant its obvious you're on juice, most people will see you as a phony with mental or social issues. There are some girls who are attracted to the juiced look but you REALLY don't want those women. Women want a man with a body that shows dedication, discipline and good health. A solid amount of muscle is always good to have, but Dbol will give you bloat and honestly too much size in general to look somewhat natural

Even if steroids could get many women into your bed, that's not the key to a happy and fulfilling life. At best you have some orgasms, but tons of headache and frustration dealing with broken women

Focus on yourself mentally and spiritually. Being in strong physical shape is good, but in order to truly be happy, you need to sort out the other two.

What about it? Still learning the ropes here on cycles.

I'm a bit insecure about how I look, but no more.

Very little downsides to smart and rational use of testosterone, and so many upsides. Why not?

Elevated estrogen levels (constantly playing with DIM, I3C, AI's etc to balance)
/\ Which causes mood swings and other issues
Risk of fertility damage - my biggest concern
Going back to baseline size once usage has ceased (not keeping your gains)
Potential hair loss
Dependency on having to inject, find scripts, etc

Sure, for some the above is a non issue, we are all different.

Anyway, that's why I've never bothered, however much small TRT level usage is tempting.

Regular gym + sleep + nutrition is the path for me.

RE: Why do you use steroids?
Elevated estrogen is rarely an issue with the minimum effective dose and frequent injections. AIs are more trouble than they're worth. If you use HCG on cycle, and proper use of a SERM when coming off you should keep your gains up to to your genetic limit. Hair loss might be accelerated yes, but that's something that would have happened anyway.
