Getting Mexico designated as a safe country for asylum purposes has done more than a physical wall. It gives Mexico an incentive to better guard their southern border.

Important post. Republicans had the house, senate, and white house for 2 years. Couldn't get the wall built. GOP wants cheap labor, period.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
So he runs his campaign on building a wall and closing the southern border but with coronavirus spreading like wildfire, he's hasn't stopped any flights at all coming from Italy and South Korea, two of the most infected countries.

But in his words, this is basically the flu.

Today I noticed little traffic on the roads coming to work. I then found out four local school districts have closed. And what is Trump doing while this is happening in my community. While I live in the area with more cases than anywhere else in the nation. Tweeting about Bernie.

Under Trump's watch with two months to prepare, you can barely find a coronavirus test. Our testing is arguably the worst globally. But then again before he was telling us how perfectly we're handling it, he was telling everyone how perfectly China was handling it instead of preparing.

That doesn't mean a person can't tweet and prep at the same time. But the proof is in the pudding. America as a whole appears completely unprepared for this.

Quote:The ruling overturns a Kansas Supreme Court decision where justices claimed that because state and federal law overlap on the issue of federal immigration law and identity theft, states do not have the authority to prosecute such cases.

At hand were the prosecutions of three illegal aliens — Ramiro Garcia, Donaldo Morales, and Guadalupe Ochoa-Lara — who stole the identities of American citizens by taking their Social Security Numbers in order to illegally work in the state of Kansas against federal law.

A 2018 investigation by the Immigration and Reform Law Institute (IRLI) discovered that there have been potentially 39 million cases between 2012 to 2016 wherein American citizens have had their identities stolen by illegal aliens.

The discovery was made after IRLI investigators reviewed W-2 tax forms where names on the financial records did not match their corresponding Social Security records.

This is bad news for the cheap labor crowd. Illegal laborers have been getting away with this since forever - the cuckservatives are panicking.

This decision could have been very different had Gorsuch and/or Kavanaugh been taken out by the usual suspects. All we need now is for Ginsberg to finally decide to hit the road this summer and it'll make for one very emotional election season for the opposition.

I was watching Telemundo's noon news program this past Thursday (Telemundo calls it "Immigracion jueves" or something like that) and they had an immigration lawyer on who was discussing this case. I'm not a native Spanish speaker, but I can follow along by turning on the subtitles. To my surprise, she gave specific advice to the viewers on how to handle their use of falsified documents to minimize their risk from this ruling. Telemundo is based in Miami, so I wonder what makes them think they can get away with having a lawyer advising clients on how to break the law?

Withdrawal from Afghanistan underway

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/03/09...ays-124368

Quote:American troops have begun leaving Afghanistan for the initial troop withdrawal required in the U.S.-Taliban peace agreement, a U.S. official said on Monday, amid political chaos in Kabul that threatens the deal.

Hundreds of troops are heading out of the country as previously planned, but they will not be replaced as the U.S. moves ahead with plans to cut the number of forces in the country from about 13,000 to 8,600, the official said.

Go figure a liberal female SJW judge sides with the law firm representing Indian owned giant H1B contracting Mills farming out Indian H1Bs to exclude USA grads who need these jobs... An anti-American national disgrace.

Judge Nukes Trump’s Promise to Protect American Graduates from H-1B Outsourcing

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/...tsourcing/

A judge has gutted the Trump administration’s minimal curbs on the many Indian-run companies that import Indian college graduates to take the jobs needed by young U.S. graduates.

“A recent federal policy for employers that place H-1B skilled guestworkers at third-party worksites can’t be enforced,” according to a March 11 report in Bloomberg Law.

This is why we all need to vote to take back the US Congress House and reinforce the Senate in November. Trump is not perfect though he is committed to America First especially American Graduates for All US jobs first...

Tucker Carlson actually showed up to Mar-A-Lago and spoke to Trump for two hours about the coronavirus situation, telling him to take it seriously

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/...oronavirus

Quote:Carlson made the visit during a party for Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.'s girlfriend. But the Fox News host told Vanity Fair on Tuesday that he did not know the party was happening and only came to the resort to speak with the president.

His conversation with Trump lasted two hours, and, during that time, he impressed on him how important it was to take the coronavirus threat seriously because it poses a dangerous threat to both the country and his presidency.

"I felt I had a moral obligation to be useful in whatever small way I could, and, you know, I don’t have any actual authority. I’m just a talk show host," Carlson said. "But I felt — and my wife strongly felt — that I had a moral obligation to try and be helpful to in whatever way possible."

The Hill: Trump invokes Defense Production Act as coronavirus response

Quote:President Trump announced Wednesday he will invoke the Defense Production Act, which would allow the administration to force American industry to ramp up production of medical supplies that are in short supply in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Hospitals and states have pleaded with the administration for more supplies to protect doctors and nurses on the frontlines of the pandemic.

“There’s never been an instance like this where no matter what you have it’s not enough,” Trump said at a White House briefing with reporters.

“If we need to use it, we’ll be using it at full speed ahead.”

Many health workers have said they are quickly running out of personal protective equipment, like masks and gowns, that are crucial to ensuring they don’t get sick.

Hospitals are also sounding the alarm on the lack of ventilators, or breathing machines, that are expected to be in high demand as the coronavirus spreads in the coming weeks and months.

Democrats in Congress, hearing about shortages of supplies from hospitals in their states and districts, have urged Trump to invoke the DPA to direct the domestic production of necessary medical equipment.

“This would ensure we have the materials we need at the ready, rather than wait for disruptions in the global supply chain to subside,” 57 House Democrats wrote in a letter to Trump last week.

Supply chains are extremely strained due to tariffs on China, the main supplier of medical goods to the U.S.

While the Trump administration has recently taken some action to ease those tariffs, China and other countries are blocking exports of those products as they seek to combat the pandemic.

More than 200,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed worldwide, including 6,500 cases in the United States, according to Johns Hopkins University. Of the 115 people who have died in the U.S., most were elderly or had underlying health conditions.

Trump and public health officials in recent days have urged Americans to practice social distancing to slow the spread of the virus and ensure the health care system isn’t overwhelmed by an influx of patients.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new guidelines this week recommending people avoid gatherings of more than 10 people and work from home if possible.

In the last few weeks, city and state officials across the country have moved to limit public gatherings, including at restaurants, bars and other establishments, which is intended to slow the spread of the virus but has dented the economy.

Looks like China is going to double-down on trying to shift blame for the pandemic, so hopefully President Trump will continue to call it the "Chinese virus." It will drive the mainstream media bananas, because one reason they work in journalism and endure the low wages (in addition to the status they believe it gives them) is that they want to believe that they're influencing society to conform to the progressive vision. When a leader refuses to kowtow to their dictates on political correctness, they become visibly angry and frustrated. That's the reason that CBS reporter likely made up that story about a Trump staffer saying "Kung flu" to her face.

President Trump, for all of his many faults, is still our best choice. Can you imagine if we had senile Biden at the wheel? *shudder*

Nonetheless, individually, and as a tribe, need to look out for ourselves and our immediate community more than ever in the coming years, as the Federal government continues to devolve into banana republic status. A bitter pill to swallow, but needed.

Biden was barely taken seriously prior to the China virus drama.
Now?
Even more doubtful that folk would be all that willing to switch teams to Biden, in the middle of a pandemic or serious economic downturn.
