RE: Netflix Thread
I liked the Netflix movie "Polar", and you should watch it if you're a fan of the "John Wick" series. Some similarities in the (tough, strong-willed, surprisingly decent and interesting) main character... Also, the escape of the hero from his (seemingly desperate) position - chained to the floor - is one of the best escape scenes on screen, and though hyper violent it has some humor in it.

By the way, I haven't yet seen the Netflix "Two Popes", but, I'm already intrigued. Why would a (mainly) Globalist tool like Netflix, draw attention to the scandalous fact that there are 2 (competing, necessarily) Popes alive, which is an impossibility and I think, probably a blaspheme per se. Will this movie highlight (I doubt it) the fact that the legitimate, Right-Wing German Pope, was persecuted, thwarted and hunted by the vicious Gay Mafia that plagues some dark but powerful recesses of the Vatican?

RE: Netflix Thread
Just cancelled my membership. The offensive anti-Christian series was what got me thinking about it. But I also realized I don't use the service enough.

I recently created a list of films I want to see. I'm trying to be deliberate about this instead of always watching what is convenient. So I listed all the Clint Eastwood films I haven't seen, some Hitchcock, Kubrick, a few others. Then I looked them up in the app Reelgood to see what services they are on. Most of the films in my list to watch are not on any service, and then after that they are on Prime or on various free services. So it made it an easy decision to cancel.

Saw a film with a very interesting premise called "Wakefield" about a man who gets fed up with his suburban family life and hides in the attic of his garage as he watches his family go on without him.

Bryan Cranston gives a great performance as the lead. 7.5/10.

Yeah, it's crazy that the short story was written in 1835 since the subject matter seems so contemporary.

Been watching the Witcher good show if you’re a fan of the games didn’t like all the forced diversity but I think Yennifer actually is a good allegory for the modern women she wants everything and nothing can satiate her also her pursuit of power at the expense of her fertility really sums up most western women

Netflix mini series on crimes are top notch....

Just finished this one... it's a slow burn and a old case so all the people in the show are pretty geriatric. But damn is there some high level corruption in the MD government and the Catholic church... honestly I just don't know what to think after finishing this series, its crazy just how vile the world can be and how oblivious people can be to it.

Last week I watched this one... pretty wild ride that takes some unforeseen turns...another example of high end corruption.

Crazy people out there....

Fascinating story....

I like these types of mini series based of real life. You get a look behind the curtain at the people/families that are affected. The good, the bad, and the ugly side of law enforcement. The settings of cities and small towns through out the USA that anyone could have grew up in. An for all its faults, Netflix does a really good job in this genre.

If you guys haven't seen it, the 4-part documentary "The Pharmacist" is really worth watching.

Well... I have a few months to pass, hopefully not much longer then that. Time to really sink my teeth into some kind of Netflix series... preferably with a lot of episodes and seasons.

I just finished the F1 second season, worth a watch

So weird they used Clare De Lune in this trailer when Bryan Cranston was in the first Godzilla movie and they used Clare De Lune in the sequel (Godzilla King of the Monsters) trailer. I guess it's a sign of how uncreative Hollywood is that they keep reaching for the same trailer music over and over again.

American Factory

It's a documentary about a Chinese auto glass company trying to operate a former GM plant in Ohio. To me, it's another reason why we need to decouple from China.

I stuck around for two episodes and realized the only sympathetic characters are the cats themselves and everyone else are scumbags. Maybe I'm getting too old to waste viewing time on white trash.

RE: Netflix Thread
I activated a subscription while I was working at home hoping to find some good background noise.

It's....so incredibly shit. They still have a few of the good old shows that they have access too like old episodes of Trailer Park Boys and Breaking bad, but almost every recent addition on there is terrible. Most of the good shows they used to have are gone and in their place is a huge number of abysmally awful in-house shows.

Based on the clips I've seen I think there's a good chance that some of their in-house writers are literal demons from the pits of hell.
